My business is well established, has 4 yrs of tax records and has been profitable every year. How do I get a Corporate card that will accept my $1MM annual revenue? If I recall correctly, AMEX will not allow me to get their Corporate card until we have revenues exceeding $2MM. Check my profile under credit. There are all the cards and descriptions there that you need. Dealing direct with the provider is your added advantage. I got my card from there and its international. Great when it comes to the exchange rate.

You have to check your card agreement to see if you have joint and severable liability for the card personally, if so, it is normally part of your credit history. American Express has some products like this.

What are these? Are these regular FDIC insured bank.

Insured depository institutions refers to financial institutions (banks, credit unions, etc.) that accept deposits and have federal insurance (FDIC, NCUA, etc.). I think it means you need to have someone from your financial institution confirm your identity. The best thing to do is call your financial institution and ask them about it. Most likely, they will have seen this type of request before and will know what to do.

Corporate Credit Unions are basically credit unions for credit unions. Corporates do not have natural person (i.e. regular people like you and me) as members. Instead, the members of corporate credit unions are credit unions. I don’t know if they can help verify your identity.

All lenders would require your social security, even for business credit. It sounds like you may have withheld that information on the business credit card apps??

Complete truth on your applications is a must. If they smell that something isn’t right, you’re not going to get any credit. Also make sure your business address and information is legitimate because they verify that as well.

It really depends on what type of corporation you have. Do you have suppliers? That would be the place to start.

If your coporation is new and has no track record, it is very likely you will be required to provide a personal guarantee in order to open accounts.

You may also have to open accounts starting with COD orders at first.
