A FEW POINTS ON BUILDING CORPORATE CREDIT:

Aged EIN numbers add no value. Don’t spend more money for a aged corporation because it has an “aged EIN”.

There are three reasons to obtain a shelf corporation:

Assist in the building of corporate credit

Convenience in start-up

Enhance the marketing campaign

Builds customer confidence in the business

What shelf corporations cannot do:

All corporations provide a form of asset protection through limited liability. An aged shelf company does not provide enhanced protection because its aged.

Aged corporations cannot legally evade taxes or hide assets.

Lenders require the principals of the company to be disclosed on the public record. This means you cannot use nominee officers when applying for corporate credit. In other words, you cannot have privacy and corporate credit at the same time.

Stay away from “throw away” agedf corporations and shelf LLC’s. A “throw away” company is one that was discarded because the previous owner went out of business.

The aged corporation may have a dangling and unseen liability to the IRS or other debtor.

You may receive a knock on the door years later to pay someone else’s bill.

Even if someone agrees to indemnify you of expenses and costs, it doesn’t mean anything if they can’t be found, or if they can’t pay.

Don’t invest years of energy, effort and money into a corporation that may sink years later because of surprise litigation.

Acquire only shelf corporations that have no business history and no transaction history.

Think about the claims of anyone who claims to build corporate credit. Stay away from any promoter or consultant who advocates any dishonest activity.

Only obtain corporate credit that you’re willing and able to pay.

Building business credit is crucial, and a question for many Business Owners or Start-Up Entrepreneurs is how to get credit for their business or business ideas especially in an economy that is in a severe “Credit Crunch”. This concept of obtaining credit in a tightening financial market becomes even more seemingly out of reach when an Entrepreneur is faced with a lack of positive (or overall) credit history, has minimal or no experience, and has little to no assets. Even if a Entrepreneur has good credit, strong assets and years of experience, many still search for a better way to obtain credit they need for their business or idea without having to tie up all of their assets or use them to secure the financing they need. Separating business and personal assets is usually to add some protections to the individual.
An idea that has been around for some time and seems to be picking up steam as of late is Aged Corporate Credit. Corporations, just like people after they have been around for some time build credit. The credit built by the Corporation is what is usually used in the business world versus an individual fico score in the personal world. When a corporation becomes idle there is still credit just as in most cases when personal credit is used (and then the personal credit remains idle) a credit score remains. The credit left by the Corporation is Aged Corporate Credit.
Of course Aged Corporate Credit is not a main stream approach, and there are many advertising services dedicated to this concept and charging hundreds or thousand of dollars to do so. Understandably, when there is little known about a subject the costs can go up since there is little to compare.
As with anything, knowledge is power. A resource dedicated to Aged Corporate Credit can be found at http://www.uscorpcredit.info Anther very useful resource for business funding is http://www.businessfundingsolution.info
